Lawn Care Program by Green Again Lawn

At Green Again Lawn, we don’t believe in quick fixes—we believe in season-long lawn health. That’s why our Lawn Care Program includes a carefully timed combination of fertilization, weed control, grub prevention, and nutsedge treatment. Each visit is part of a structured plan built to support strong root systems, thick turf, and year-round protection from weeds and pests.

Our Lawn Care Program is made up of six steps and eight total applications, applied from early spring through late fall.

Fertilization & Weed Control

Feeding your lawn and defending it against weeds isn’t two separate jobs—it’s one complete strategy. Every application in our program includes both fertilization and weed control, customized to the time of year.

Our fertilization approach includes:

• Controlled-release fertilizer to encourage steady, green growth
• Starter fertilizer in the fall for newly seeded lawns
• Adjusted formulations (granular or liquid) based on weather and turf condition

Our weed control treatments:

• Pre-emergent applications to prevent grassy weeds like crabgrass and foxtail
• Post-emergent spot treatments for broadleaf weeds like dandelions, chickweed, henbit, and thistle
• Two treatments during spring and two in summer for complete coverage

Note: During Application 5 (Fall), we use starter fertilizer only—no weed control—so newly seeded lawns can thrive without interruption.

Nutsedge Control

Nutsedge is one of the most persistent and frustrating weeds for Kansas lawns. It grows faster than grass, stands taller, and spreads underground through tough little tubers.

Our treatment strategy includes:

• Targeted post-emergent herbicide to eliminate visible nutsedge
• Products that destroy underground tubers, preventing regrowth
• Summer spot treatments to manage any breakthroughs (included in your program)

Nutsedge control is automatically included during Application 3B, so you don’t have to request it separately.

Grub Control

Grubs are beetle larvae that live beneath your soil, feeding on grass roots and weakening your lawn from the inside out. By the time you see damage, it’s often too late for a simple fix.

That’s why we focus on prevention:

• One preventative grub control treatment applied in early summer
• Target grubs before they hatch and cause damage
• Free curative treatment guarantee if grubs show up later in the season

This service is included in Application 4B, seamlessly integrated into your regular lawn care schedule.
